Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) head coach Daniel Vettori remains unshaken in his belief in the team’s aggressive playing style, despite a rocky start to IPL 2025. After a thrilling 286-run opening win against Rajasthan Royals, SRH stumbled with four losses in their next five games, including a recent 7-wicket defeat to Gujarat Titans on April 6. Speaking after the GT match, Vettori doubled down, saying, “There’s no conversations around tempering down. We definitely want to play an aggressive brand.” He praised the top-order’s attacking intent, even as the team languishes at the bottom of the points table with a -1.629 NRR. Vettori admitted the need to adapt to conditions better, noting the slower Hyderabad pitch caught them off-guard against GT. Yet, with faith in stars like Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma, and Heinrich Klaasen, he’s confident SRH can turn things around—starting with their next clash against Punjab Kings on April 12.
